The European transfer window is wide open, with the Premier League returning to normality by staying open just as long as the other leagues. In celebration and recognition of this, Millsy’s View is going to go through the Premier League and analyse where they need to strengthen, as well as possible targets for them.
This time, I will be looking at Brighton & Hove Albion, who did very well this season for them, finishing 15th in the Premier League and not spending one game week in the relegation zone. Graham Potter has been a good choice of manager for the side, making them tough to beat, as well as bringing in some hungry, young players who want to compete. All in all, it has worked out well for them and I expect them to keep improving.

Where Do They Need To Strengthen?
Brighton & Hove Albion are a side that are tough to analyse, as they are very much like Sheffield United, where they are a better team than individual players. Also, they have already hit the ground running in this transfer market, signing Adam Lallana on a free transfer from Liverpool, who I think will be a fantastic signing for them.
He also brings some experience to a Brighton side that have some bright young players, in the form of Maupay and Connolly up front, Steven Alzate and Alexis Mac Allister in midfield and Tariq Lamptey at right back.
Who Needs To Go?
There are some players at Brighton that do need to go, however, and Glenn Murray is sadly one of them for me. He is 36 years of age now and played a lot smaller role last season in the first team than in previous seasons. Although he’s great to chuck on for the last 20 minutes of the game, I’m not sure his legs will be able to handle a full Premier League season for too much longer.
Who Could They Bring In?
One shock rumour that has appeared in recent weeks is that of Gerard Deulofeu moving to Brighton & Hove Albion. The ex-Barcelona winger is definitely far too good to be slumming it in the Championship and I think he would be the perfect fit at Brighton, especially considering, at 26 years old, he is about to hit his peak. I think he would definitely compliment the striking abilities of Maupay up front.
The other player highly linked to Brighton is Sean McGuirk, the Wigan youngster, who has also been linked to Leeds and Tottenham Hotspur.
