Player Name
Current Club: Borussia Dortmund
Rumoured transfer: Manchester United
Rumour Source: Everywhere? Also, Evening Standard
Competition At The Club: Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood, Daniel James
Are there other options?: Honestly, it’s difficult to get through all the Sancho noise to find any other possible rumours. Thiago Alcantra is one name touted, while James Rodriguez‘ name has also been on the list.
Do they need him?: With a player of Jadon Sancho’s quality, it’s not a question of needing him, as he would walk into pretty much any team on the planet. He has become an all-powerful forward during his time at Borussia Dortmund and he strikes fear into all of his Bundesliga opponents.

With Manchester United’s options already stocked and their attack currently playing very well, it’s hard to see how Sancho would fit into the squad and which player Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could drop. The obvious option, yet the one that Manchester United fans probably want to see the least, is Mason Greenwood due to his young age, while Rashford and Martial are already seasoned starters. Greenwood, however, has played his way into the hearts of United fans already, who love to see a young local lad banging in goals left, right and centre.
In addition to this, it’s not all down to the team, as the move would probably depend on United’s chances of getting Champions League football, which took a hit in the draw against Southampton. Without a guarantee of Champions League football, it would be hard to see Sancho fancying the move, even if Manchester United are a bigger, Premier League club that’s closer to home for the guy.
Millsy’s Transfer Rating: I’m giving this one 7/10 as Sancho would improve any team, but I don’t know who he would play ahead of in the first XI. It would mean that United had a greater depth though to chase the Premier League and Champions League glory next season though.

Likelihood Rating: This has to be a 50/50, if Manchester United don’t secure 4th place in the Champions League, Sancho isn’t coming. If they do, I’m still sketchy about whether they could guarantee him a start in every game.
What You Said
As you can see, Manchester United fans are desperate to have Sancho sign on the dotted line, they truly believe he is destined to come to the club.
